Seattle Collaborative Law Training & Learning Center offers training and education programs for collaborative professionals of all disciplines and experience levels.  SCL-TLC is a leading training and education program in the Pacific Northwest.  We provide training and education opportunities in all aspects of collaborative conflict resolution, combining the latest learning in conflict resolution and Collaborative practice with adult education principles to provide engaging trainings

Current training programs include:

 

        Basic (introductory) Collaborative Law training which satisfies basic training requirements of most collaborative law organizations including the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP), Collaborative Professionals of Washington (CPW) and King County Collaborative Law (KKCL).
 

         Interdisciplinary Team Trainings in the Collaborative Practice model.  This is a basic three day inter-disciplinary team training with advanced trainings for each discipline working in the collaborative model.

 

Future training programs will include:

 

         Intermediate Collaborative Law trainings that teach essential Collaborative Law and dispute resolution skills for advancing Collaborative Practice.

 

         Specialized topics trainings including:

o   In-depth training on interest based negotiation skills

o   In-depth training on active listening skills and empathic listening

o   Conflict resolution and impasse intervention techniques

o   Building a stronger, more effective team

o   Non-verbal communication and facial expressions

o   The emotional divorce process

o   Working with emotions

o   Advanced financial planning as part of a collaborative case

o   Mastery of creating structure, leadership in the collaborative model and creating a team

 

         Targeted training sessions and workshops designed to meet specific skill building needs for professionals and practice groups.
